## How to download TikTok videos without watermark

Open the video in TikTok, tap *Share* and then *Copy link*. Paste the link into the box above and tap Download. The first file in the list is the clean MP4 without the watermark; save it and you are done.

## How to download TikTok videos on iPhone

Paste the link here in Safari and tap the download button. The video goes to Files → Downloads. Open it, tap Share and choose *Save Video* to put it in Photos, where it plays like any other clip.

## On Android and PC

## Why there is no watermark

TikTok keeps more than one copy of each video: the clean one that plays in the app, and a version with the logo burned in for its own Save button. We fetch the clean one.

## H.264 or HEVC?

Some TikToks come in two encodings. H.264 plays on everything. HEVC (also called H.265) is smaller at the same quality, but some Windows PCs and older Android phones can't play it without an extra codec. When in doubt, pick the file without the HEVC label.
