Privacy policy

The short version: no accounts, no copies of the videos you download, and visit statistics through Google Analytics only.

What we process

When you paste a link, our server reads it to find the downloadable files. The link and the file details are cached for about 30 minutes so a second click is instant. After that they are deleted automatically.

To prevent abuse, we count requests per visitor. The counter is keyed by a salted one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, and it is cleared within an hour.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting. They are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets its own cookies (named _ga), which hold a random ID, not your name or the links you paste. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can block it with any tracker blocker or with Google's opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The site works exactly the same without it. We set no other cookies.

Third parties

To fetch a post we contact the platform it came from: Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. They see a request from our server, not from you. Apart from Google Analytics (see Cookies), we do not sell, rent or share data with anyone.
